Genius Hour / 20% time is a strategy that has been used by several Fortune 500 companies, such as Google, 3M, Huffington Post and Flickr, as a means to promote collaboration and innovation.
The idea is that employees spend 20% of their time working on projects of interests or new product ideas. From this, products such as Post-It Notes, Gmail, Google Talk and Orkut have been born.
